Sparse Files

Hi.
Netware 6 sp2. Getting sparse files which are only reporting in Netware as small eg 40k. The issue is with Arcserve. Arcserve sees them as anything upto 4gig! So when it tries to back them up it dies (as it struggles not only with the size of the file but mainly because its pretty much empty)! Hence, ruining the backup.
Anyone know a way of automatically discovering these files and deleting them? Ive heard there are 3rd party NLMs that do this. Arcserve only reports them, cant actually delete them.

Go into your asconfig.ini and change the sparse file setting from false to true. This will stop arcserve from putting the full size of the file on tape. You can find additional info on CA's web site.
