Does anyone know how to draw a sparkle effect with FireworksMX, I want to add it to the corner of text.

Thanks,
Phil.

I dont have an image of a sample right now, but the kind of thing where in the classic TV ad someone smiles and glint of light shines of a tooth and you get a big sparkle.
Thats a corny example, I know......

I dont want anything animated, just the bright white star type of effect.

I know Photo Shop has a standard feature called 'Sparkle' to do it, but Im surprised Fireworks doesnt.

Thanks.

Why not try using the Polygon tool? Create a white star - might look better with a slightly feathered edge.

well you would have to draw out a star -- easiest way is to make a circle then resize it so it is a skinny oval then duplicate it and rotate 90 degrees. now you have the + sign star -- to get a more * type star just group your + and duplicate it -- then rotate 45 degrees and shrink about 50% then blur that smaller duplication. then make just a circle outline that is about half the size of the smaller +.

the circle would then have both + signs in the middle -- then just add a light blur maybe glaussian 2 -- depending how big this is. and that should work.

you might have to try this a few times before you get it but this is basically how you would make the sparkle.

zzzzzz
