sparcstation ipc boot help

my ipc sparcstation wont boot. after all the tests, it will come up with the prompt "boot:". if I type something in, it will then come up with a device prompt, then go on to say that neither are configured and loops. Any suggestions?

Well, Im a complete newbie when it comes to unix so really, nothing. Its just a continual loop and I dont really know how to get out of it.

Is there an OS installed on it??

Otherwise, put in an installation CD and type 'cdrom'.

Umm, Im going to assume theres an OS installed on it. I got the ipc and 2 sparc 2's from a business that was being bought out. I have this problem with the ipc and on the sparc 2s, it gives me a twisted pair cable error. None of them have cd roms.
