Spanning Tree - 4400 3com 1000 back module enabling?

I have a 4400 3com switch. It has two 1000 modules connected to two servers. I use Network Supervisor and it asks me to enable Fast Tree Spanning on the two ports. How do I do this? I have tried to speak to 3com and looked through their knowledgebase to no avail. Any help gratefully appreciated.
