Hello,

I have two users on a notes server that are recieving a lot of spam that is addressed to Webmaster@domain and Postmaster@domain.

I can't find were these users are associated to these addresses. Is it possible to block incoming messages to these addresses as they are not required?

Thanks

Hello,

I would recommend add a mail-in DB and create an alias of postmaster@domain.com and webmaster@domain.com. This will help with your issue and limit dead/bounce messages.

If you're on R6, there is a setting that will allow you to restrict mail routing to accounts that don't exist. In R5, the mail router will deliver to close matches.

Hope this helps.

Rgds,

John Judge

Thanks for the reply,

I'm new to Lotus Notes, but I'll give this a try.

I am using R6, what is the setting that will restrict the mail routing?

Thanks
