Hi,
I keep getting these perverted e-mails in my Outlook Inbox. They don't have remove links, or any links at all for that matter. They're just different things like stock quotes, prescription drugs and other stuff. At the bottom of these e-mails it will have a story about something. Kind of like an excerpt out of a novel.

Is there any way to find where these e-mails or coming from and is there any way to report them or stop them? Also, what would be a good filter(preferraby cheap if not free)to use on Outlook Express?

Thanks,
Chris

I'm sure someone will suggest a third-party application, you OE's built in mail rules can be quite effective. Use the Search function in forum605 for several in-depth discussions.

For a quick bit of info: Don't bother trying to unsubscribe, you'll just end up with more. The novel at the bottom is just an attempt to get through mail filters.

Some advice though for avoiding future ones. If you are one who goes into chat rooms avoid using your email addys ids in the chat room as spammers draw to that quick. Another thing as for tracking the actual mailer can be hard as most of them use mass mailers which can fake email addys. As for filtering software I really dont know of any but I did a search. Here you go.

First, clickin on a "remove" link from a junk email is the worst thing you can do. These spammers send out millions of emails, many of which go to dead addresses. If you click on a Remove link, it lets them know they have a "live" address, and tehy sell those lists to other spammers or continue to use them.

For filters, check out a free trial of Cloudmark:

or I also like Computer Associates ($29.95):
