spa8000 and nortel system

Customer had nortel 6X16 and 3 lines. She just switched over to sip trunking which we hooked up through a spa8000. What customer needs a private line. She wants one specific phone number to ring in on her line 4 key on her telephone so that we she knows it is her private number calling. She has 7208 and when the phone rings now all calls come in on line one or if someone is it on that line it goes to next linekey on phone. She wants line 4 key to be only for her private number. Is there a way to program this in the spa8000, my support says that it is programming in the nortel but I think it can be done in the spa8000?? Any help would be appreciated!!

That's like programming your hot water pipe to turn on a dishwasher
SPA8000 I would assume converts SIP to Analog?

Confirm with the Carrier they have a Line 4 and their end is programmed.
Plug port 4 on the SPA to the Trunk port 4 on the KSU and program the phone (vi KSU)to have line 4.

Sounds like you need a Norstar tech onsite.

Thanks for your reply. I did manage to make it work by programming in the spa8000 a new sip trunk group that only hunted to line 4. I made that line 4 (the private number) go to that trunk group in the spa.

Sounds like you mean you made a non-equivalent (non-rollover number, or Single number) in the SPA.

In Norstar is where you make it "Private" by going to Line 4 and selecting "Private" then assign that line to one set only, when selecting Private this means no other set can have access to that line, this makes it "Private"

Maybe it had some programing in the Norstar already and why you didn't touch its programming.
