SP4 and SA account

When I try to install SP4, I'm told "Cannot connect to SQL server using the
specified ID <sa>
I changed the password recently, but changing it back to blank didn't help.
Any ideas?

I did the same thing, David. But I started the Setup process again and stepped through the options and when prompted, supplied the new password for &quot;SA&quot; and it all hooked back up.

Dunno about you, but I'm certainly a floundering newbie. I come from the client support end of my department so all of this server stuff is just -way- over my head. I was given SMS as a project a couple of weeks ago and I'm just barely hanging in...

What setup process prompted you for a new SA password?
Are you installing a new site?

[tt] Start\Programs\Systems Mgmt Server\SMS Setup[/tt]

...on your SMS server.

I set security to integrated and SP4 is installing.
