The Uninstall should do it, assuming he chose the Backup Files option on install.
If he's not noticing any side effects/problems, it might be better to leave it - although I don't know if this would interfere later with the SBS-specific SP1.
Probably too late to help but I have just been looking at this. I went to install Service Pack 1 on a Small Business Server and fortunately paused, just as well I think.
It would seem that both 'standard' windows 2003 server sp1 requires installing and also SBS SP1. If you review the following technet article
there are infact 4 other updates that need to be installed prior to the installation of SBS SP1.
If anyone has any comments on this I would really like to know. I have been prompted to run these updates due to a tape drive error and am wary of installing all these updates without a proper backup.
It seems that both MS Windows 2003 SP1 requires installation and then 3 other installs before finally instally MS Windows SBS 2003 SP1, comments and suggestions appreciated
