SP-ethernet IP change procedure

On SP system(AIX 4.2.1), what would be a way to change SP-ehternet ip address setting.

I need ip address change procedure at SP-ethernet

Hi Rienhart,

As a rough guide ....

Mksysb the node,
Archive the SDR ( SDRArchive ),
Deallocate the NIM resources ( unallnimres ),
Delete the NIM client ( delnimclient ),
Power off the node,
If its a new ethernet card run the command, sphrdwrad to acquire the new MAC address of the card. If not enter the new IP address into the SDR,
Check SDR has the new IP address ( splstdata -a ),
Change IP address in /etc/hosts,
Set the node to customize ( spbootins ) ,
Run setup_server,
Check NIM setup is correct for node ( lsnim ) ,
Run nodecond,
