Hi!

I'm new to Premiere and I'm still having some headaches.

I made a project and everything was going well (I even exported a raw
version of the video successfuly). Well, I made some changes to the
video's sequence and, when I was viewing it, something was odd: the
soundtrack (an mp3 file) was playing ok, but the sound from the video
it self was mute.

After that, everytime I create a new project, I cannot play the sound
from the video. I made some testing: this only happens when I make a
new project in "Video for Windows" mode. If I make a DV one,
everything works fine.

Can someone help me?

Thanks,
Leandro

Your mp3 is on audio track 2 and your video audio is on Audio Track 1?

It doesn't matter: from that day on, everytime I start a new project in Video for Windows mode, the sound of the video files doesn't work. If I preview the file without it beeing in the timeline, it plays fine, when I place it in the sequence, the waveform is flat.

:(

Just make sure nothing is plugged into the end of your firewire card..Sometimes a camera plugged in will do it..

Just do a DV project and then convert it out to WMV's later..
