Sound Card doen't works at Windows XP Professional

I have a main board ElitGroup (model K7S5A) running Windows XP professional. The sound is onboard and i think called SIS7012 (the plug and play detect it). But allways when i trying install the driver occour this problem message: This service name or service apresention name is already used! And the sound card doesn't work. i triyng a lot of drivers kinds (sites

http://www.microsoft.com)

and upgrade de last service pack of XP, but nothing solve this problem.
Anybody has suggestions?

Try uninstalling the sound in the Device Manager, and rebooting - maybe Windows will re-install the device then. Sometimes this works with various types of hardware. Don't install any other drivers if Windows will do it. Also, try checking the BIOS settings for the onboard sound.

absantos, try to check the device manager if there's not your soundcard 2 times wroten, one of it should have a yelow explemantation sigh.. i hope this is the right word for this sign . If yes, uninstal it. Best would be to uninstall the card which u'll see in the device manager, reboot and it will install it automaticly

I have just installed one of these boards and set up XP on it with the sound card drivers off the mobo disc, worked fine......do you need a copy of the latest drivers?

Guys, i trying uninstall and re-install a lot of drivers and device manager, but the trouble keep going. My BIOS setings are OK, because i used this same computer in windows 98 and work's better, but after upgrade by XP the problem happen.
