Hi,
How is it possible to show only the biggest datacell. In one cell there is Offernumber and on the next cell is the offer revision number. How can I show only the one offer number where the revision number is the highest. All Offer numbers don't have revision number.

example

offer N:eek: Revision N:eek:
1 2
1 1
1 3 <-print only this offer n:eek:

I guess this is quite simple thing to do but I just don't get it.

thank in advance

Select the crosstab (I am assumingfrom your decription that it is a crosstab) Right click on the crosstab and select 'Group Sort Expert'.

Use the TopN function to only show the highest value.

Please give your Crystal version as solutions vary between versions in particular in the area of charts and crosstabs.

No it's access db and CR is 2008. Do I need to make the group first?

Yes - You will need to create a group based on the sort field required.

You could just insert a group on {table.offer} and then go to report->selection formula->GROUP and enter:

{table.revisionno} = maximum({table.revisionno},{table.offer})

Thanks LB for your help. The formula
{table.revisionno} = maximum({table.revisionno},{table.offer})
worked to hide the smaller revision numbers, but it still calculates the data from all revisions. Ie. subtotals from all revisions. How can that be stopped?

You need to use running totals for summaries. You do not have to do anything special in the evaluation section to eliminate non-group selected records, but if you are using any suppression of specific records within groups, you would.
