Sorting order + and -

Does someone know how I can change the sorting order in Access. It now sort - first and then +. In Access 97 this was + first and - after this. I build my query's this way and it would take me weeks to edit all my query's. If this works.
I asked this question before, but had no answer which solves the problem. I would really be gradefull if someone could help me with this. Can I edit some ASCII table or something like that?

Have you tried descending instead of ascending order or vice versa?

Sorting descending doesn't work, because there also are fields with 1 and to in the query and they should stay sorted 1,2 and not 2,1
