Sorting on Months 1

I have a report that groups data on month and displayed as January, February, etc.

When I sort in ascending order, tge first group is April and the last is september.

But I want the groups to appear in the normal order. Jan, Feb, March, etc.

How should i do that???

You can use the 'Specified Order' function in the change group expert. Then just type in the months in the correct order (jan - dec).

If you use month({table.date}) as your grouping, you can then use the monthname(month({table.date})) function in a formula for display purposes.

If the field is already shown as the month text in the dataabase, then either use the specified order, or write a formula to convert them to numbers for sorting/grouping purposes.
