I have a report which is grouped by dates.
I need a way to sort the group per SQL query and not in a predetermined order.
The original order doesn`t seem to do the job and specified order is hard coded.
I`d appreciate any help.
Or you can have a higher-level grouping based on dates.
It helps to give your Crystal version - 8, 8.5, 9, 10, 11 or whatever. Methods sometimes change between versions, and higher versions have extra options. In this case, it probably makes no difference.

I`m using CR XI.
I`m newbi on CR and I`m unfamiliour with TopN not with "Or you can have a higher-level grouping based on dates".
As for sorting with SQL, I don`t want the CR to set the order in advance but I want it to be set by the SQL query.
I want, for example, the report to show the dates in desc or asc order per the SQL query.
How would you establish the group order within the query? Are you using a command as your datasource? Do you have a parameter that you are using to specify order? Please provide more specifics. Maybe show a copy of your query as shown in database->show SQL query.
