In several reports I have used half hour and quarter hour sort. HalfHourSort(Time) or QtrHourSort (Time) I now need to develop a report that breaks the information down in hour increments instead of half hour or quarter hour. I am having trouble, and anyone help. Thanks

That's a default within Crystal, you don't need a formula, just select the datetime field and change the section will be printed to for each hour.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand. The datetime field that I am using contains exact timestamps of when an event occurred. When I select it on its own (no formula) it prints the actual event time. I need to print on my report the hour in which the event occurred. Currently I use QtrHourSort(time) to get the quarter hour start time. I also use the formula for grouping. You also mentioned change the section. What in the section do I need to change?

Go to insert group-> {table.datetime}->choose "Section will be printed on change of hour". In other words, there is an automatice grouping option for hour. If you want the hour to show in the detail section, copy or drag the group name field into the detail section.
