Does anyone know of a way to sort groups based off of running totals? For example I have accounts grouped by NAICS codes and would like to sort the report so that the groups with the largest amounts appear first in the report. Thanks

You cannot sort on running totals, since they are calculated sequentially across records. However, you can do a group sort if you can insert a count on any recurring field at the NAICS codes group level. Then go to report->group sort and select "count of table.field", descending.

I am unable to use a summary function because of duplicate values. I am able to eliminate this problem through grouping and the running totals, so in this case that will not work

How is your running total set up? I might be able to suggest a different approach if I could understand the way you are eliminating the duplication. Do you have a date field, and you only want to consider the most recent date, for example?
