Hi All,
I have an Issue I've been trying to deal with for a day now. I have created a report in SCR 7.01 on NT and it needs to do this:

List employees in certain locations with their names, title, current salary and weekly hours. Seems really easy. However they want it sorted like this:

In a location, list emps from highest salary "Band" (or range) to lowest; and within each range, list emps from highest salary to lowest salary. The problem is that salaries are stored in the database by effective date - this means that I have to do that 3 formula thing (where one formula is placed in the Group, one in Details A and the last on is on the Suppress button - Format Section of Details B) to suppress all but the first row of the Group, LAST_NAME. All this means that I cannot get the salaries to display from highest to lowest salary (within each salary band). Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for all your help,

Just an addition to the issue:

regarding the effective date and salaries...

the reason why I have to do that 3 formula thing is I need the current salary - which means I need the most current effective date - so I needed to use the 3 formulas to show only the current salary for each emp...

IN total I have 4 groups - in this order - Location, Pay Grade, Last Name, and Effective Date.

thanks in advance,
