Sorry Guys....I know how much Exchange troublehsooters gate dealing with Outlook problems but I have no where else to turn. No one can me any valid suggestions. All the responses I get simply duplicate the previous one. All of these people think that deleteing a bogus mapped drive will solve everything but that is not the case here.
This gentleman tries to attach an Adobe .pdf file to new email message (happens on Word docs too) and it locks up his Outlook for about 3 or 4 minutes and then eventually attaches the file. The file is located in his local "My Documents" folder so the network is not really an issue except as I mentioned, I checked to see if there were any mapped drives that might be causing a problem and he only has the one so i disconnected it and it still happens with NO mapped drives. I have logged onto the machine with my user account and created my Outlook profile and it happens to me also. I have not tried logging on as him on another computer as him but I suspect it is localized to this computer/install. My next step is to convince him to go to Outlook 2007 at least and see if it is still happening but that is not really a discussion I want to have with him right now if there are any other alternatives. He is the CEO of the company and rather stubborn. He uses an Exchange 2007 platform and is running Outlook 2003 (a whole other story) in "non-cached" mode on Windows XP Pro (SP3).
Any help you can suggest guys?
Thanks in advance!
