Sometimes when I try to print sales invoices, I get en error on table SOP_Document_TEMP “An open operation on table 'SOP_Document_TEMP' failed because the path does not exist”. Only one person gets this error and only sometimes.

Dexlog doesn't say any interesting.

Any idea what could be the a root cause for that ?

Thanks
Tomasz

check to make sure you're using TCP as your transport protocol on your odbc connection to GP. If it's set to Named Pipes set it TCP.

Failing that, I'd swap the network card. Sounds like an intermittant communication problem.

Thanks jaz for the tip but, I did that a few weeks ago before my post.

have you tried reinstalling tcp/ip protocol on the machine. I had a machine that had an old winsock that did similar things with reports.

Hi Guys

You are heading down the wrong path here.

SOP_Document_TEMP is a Ctree temporary file. It will be created locally on the current workstation's TEMP folder. You will not see it references in anything network or SQL related (eg SQL Traces or DEXSQL.LOG).

Please check that the TEMP and TMP environment variables exist and point to a folder that exists and has write access. Please delete the current contents of the TEMP folder and make sure that the hard disk has space.

Note: that sometimes old temporary tables in the TEMP folder can cause problems when the system tries to create new ones. That's why we should delete all the TNT*.dat, TNT*.idx and TNT*.tmp files. Easier to delete everything once you have closed all applications.

Hi folks,

I've deleted all files in TEMP folder, switched off this folder in antivirus soft from on-line scan and it works now for weeks.
Thanks for the tips guys.

Regards
