Sony Vaio Upgrade to XP Pro

Hi

I have just upgraded a Sony Vaio laptop from XP Home to XP Profesional (using upgrade disc) and have now lost the ethernet controller, PCI Device and Video Controller.

I have spoken to Sony who have advised that they do not support upgrades to XP Pro since it was shipped with XP Home (great help). I basically need to get hold of all the relevant drivers but can't find any useful sites. I would really appreciate some help with this.

The XP home drivers should work with XP pro, those can be downloaded from the website. I feel your pain, VAIO support is the worst we have ever encountered' we simply refuse to use any of their products these days.

Thanks for that. Downloaded drivers and all is ok. Agree with you about the support. I hung up on them after 2 mins.
