Hello!

Thx for letting me join...
I have a Sonicwall, and i have to add a Address block to the WAN IP Interface
I thought this would be a piece of cake...but somehow i seem to be got lost.
So i would love to have some help from you guys...
The WAN IP that i have right now is not from the same address block.
I will post the details tomorrow...but maybe someone had a similar prob to fix and can give it already a thought...

Thx till tomorrow

Ok...
Here are the details now...

I have a given IP address for my wan...
Lets call it 1.2.3.4
And i have a given block from the ISP called 9.8.7.1 /29
So i have to make this network available inside to outside, so that contact from outside to 9.8.7.3 or 9.8.7.4 or 5 is possible
I know the numbers are fictive and not correct for ip addresses but it just the idea that counts...
So i went to the Sonicwall and created some rules, which are al not working...and meanwhile i got into try and error, which not helps at all...
So is there someone who has a clue about that and is able to help me?

Thx in advance...If needed i add more flesh to the bone...
Just ask...thx

Ok so the network provider needs to add a route for the address 9.8.7.0/29 to your HSRP address on the Sonicwall (WAN IP) from their equipment. Assumption here is they are announcing the additional netblock out for you. Then all you need to do is Create ACL's and NAT's into your network. Shouldn't need to do anything else. All external traffic should be pointed at your device. All internal devices will won't need to know of the external address block unless they need a resource hanging off an external IP which you can use a NAT to re-route the traffic back into the network within the sonicwall. NAT Example: INT->EXT EXT->INT PORT ANY
