something similar to paypal thats decent?

i made a shopping cart recently that passes the contents to paypal for checkout using "website payments standard". basically paypal accepts html variables and you can pass it the whole shopping cart at once. it was easy to implement, but paypal has been having all kinds of problems and now people cant even shop on our store.

i would like to switch to a similar service. i dont want "buy now" buttons and i dont want anything over-complicated, it would be great if i could find the exact same kind of service so i can just pass the entire cart to a secure site for final checkout.

can anybody recommend a company that does this?

You could try 2checkout.com service. I use it and it is not hard to implement.

If you are in the United States, you can get your own merchant account using an electronic payment gateway like LinkPoint, Verisign's Payflow, Authorizenet.com.
