I wonder if any of you out there can confirm this, the legato site isn't very helpfull.

1. When doing incremental backup of a filesystem with more than 150.000 files networker aborts the save at some point and the save set fails. But it works fine when doing a full backup.
My current workaround is to do full backup everyday, but I would like to know if there are a better solution.
This one is send to legato and I'm waiting for a reply :)

2. When a saveset gets aborted, due to inactivity or for other reasons I haven't found yet, networker marks the tape as full, and won't add more data to it.

These problems are with a NT networker server, and both unix and nt clients

sounds like a bad tape.....
do u use the same tape for the full that failed on the incremental(if not the tape used for incremental is bad)

check /nsr/logs for all messages in messages and in
daemon.log

Yes, that was my first assumption too, but if I re-label the tape, and reuse it, and no savesets aborts, there is no problem with the tape, and the usualy amount of data can be written to it. in this case around 40GB compressed on a DLT7000.
