Solution for setting Legal size paper for the report???

Whenever printing out the report, my users have to set printer paper size to legal as required (Access 97). In report design view, I used the method by going to Tools - Options, and then choose General tab to manually set print margins,etc. but to my knowledge, any modification to the design of the tables or queries, or even compacting/repairing the database, will reset the setting back to the default(letter size). Is there other way that I can prevent this happening?
Any help will be appreciated!
