i xrefed a drawing with solid hatch and text and the text will not show up over the solid hatch. i tried draworder on the original dwg. and i also tried dropping the solid hatch in the z plane still no luck. does anyone have any suggestions

Draworder doesn't always work for hatches, blocks, xrefs. I've found the more consistent "bring to front" method is to copy the object on top of itself, then delete previous. Try this and reload xref. Good luck.

In my adventures with x-refs & hatches I have found it easier to have the hatches in a separate xref. Atach the
x-refs and send the hatch x-ref to the back. In x-refs the only drawing order it recognizes is the order in which the objects were drawn. I know, it sucks!! Hope it helps!! Kat
