Solaris version number

I'm very new to Unix and Solaris. When we logon to our system it says: SunOS 5.5.1. What version of Solaris is this?

SunOS 5.5.1 is Solaris 2.5.1
[ Solaris is the Operating Environment, which contains
not only the SunOS Operating System, but a Windowing system
and desktop tools ].

That's exactly what I needed. When searching references, docs, etc. I've never seen SunOS 5.5.1 refered to, but now that I know it is Solaris 2.5.1, I've got what I need.
