Solaris Suddenly restart

I am sure Unix is very stable...
I just want to know in what case (except hardware problem), will made the solaris server restart suddenly...

And I found my solaris server hard drive may have some problem, It is a PC with a IDE hard drive. Any command suggested to check the hard drive.

Hai.
Please check for the entries in /etc/inittab file for run level 6. I hope you are using a Intel machine,so boot the system using floppy and change the options as " boot through cd-rom " in single user mode.
Then set the editor and then mount the root file system and edit the file and unmount it and then restart the system and boot the system from the floppy and change the options to boot from harddisk.
