Does anyone know what the minimum recommended Solaris 10 x86 release is for using SVM to mirror the root disk? I believe there were some issues on the earlier releases.

I do not know the minimum, but I have been using Solaris10 update 3 and above with no issues.

I believe the problems were fixed in:

Solaris 10 OS for x86 Update 1 (1/06) or later

Thank you for your reply drj111. I also have it running on update 3.

The server I am concerned with is update 1 (1/06).

I imagine if you have the latest kernel patches (recommended patch cluster) the bug fixes would of been rolled into them.
