If you update software on an MICS, do you have to reprogram the system?

I should know this, but it has been a long time.

Updgrade from 5.0 to something > 6.0.

Thanks,

Wayne

If you're going from 5.0 to, say 7.1, then use 6.1 as an intermediate. So, after backing up your programming, power down, plug in 6.1, power up, and wait for the system to come up. Go grab a coffee, then come back and repeat the procedure to go to 7.1.

Also remember if your adding any hardware, do it after the software upgrade has been completed.
