Hi.

what is (are) requirements to say that a software
has been developed under a lan?
I have written a software with SQL server2000 and
VB6.0 but still I do not konw that my software
is known as a network program or is an ordinary one?
Isn't is enough a software which, has been developed with
SQL server, to say that it works under a lan?

Thank you in advance

Not necessarily. Things to consider are connection strings and user permissions.

You can safely say that it works on a LAN if you've tested it on a LAN. If you don't test for all the different environments you plan to deploy your application in before it goes into production then you're sure to lose credibility.

I suggest to test it, then test it and then test it again.

dogbody,
when I say a software under a lan I exactly mean that more than one user can work with it simoltaneously.
now, I should say that I have considered this issue by writing some kind of codes (VB6.0 such as LockType property of Recordset object and etc....)
Now, what is your idea about my aplication?can I say that it works under a lan?can more than one users work with it simoltaneously?
