Software Distribution 4.0

Hi ..
has anyone worked with Software Distribution 4.0? i have worked with SWD 3.6.3 and now evaluating 4.0 for my client..
we have a total UNIX environment here and so we dont use any autopacks..
i am still confused as to how to create the File packages, i am trying to add new directories as per the File package fundas, and trying to distribute(in the test winnt machine), but it doesnt creates the directories and also doesnt distributes anyfiles.. i know i am missing some thing but what i am not sure..
if anyone can help out in this regard...
i have very little time before which i have to complete this review...

any help will be appreciated....

Make sure you choose to DECEND INTO DIRECTORIES otherwise the directories will not be created.

checked that and got the problem,
in the new SWD 4.0 the endpoint portion and Managed node portion of the software packaage editor is different and has to be loaded separately thru totally different process. Managed node SPE is loaded with the SWD installation and EP SPE has to be first imported in the managed node SPE and then installed on the EP.
quite complicated in the first see yet convenient.
