What options do we have to use aoftphones for home users,
If needed with extra(mitel) severe.

We are using citrix xendesktop and I was wondering if people have experience with that.
A local usb headset can be connected/redirected to the Citrix windows 10 desktop.
That's how we also use Skype for business on prem.

I hope those 2 programs can be used at the same time?

2nd option: is Skype usable as a softphone when we make a SIP trunk to the Mitel?
Can the user be called on his normal number, and pickup the phone at home with it's Skype client?

Examples of use and experience with this is much appreciated.

At some point I know citrix was not supported, but that could have changed I am not sure.
There is a way to integrate with Teams using a 3rd party gateway and a MBG.
If you are interested in the service you can let me know.

As an FYI I do not think that it works with Skype but if you are Skype for Business it is being retired within the year/

You will first require a MiCollab Server to act as the Application Server and Gateway.
Mitel Softphone hangs off the MiCollab App and is called MiCollab Client which is compatible with Citrix RDP.
There is a cutdown version of the MiCollab Client that can integrate with S4B, works so all external calls can go out your local PBX.
