thread940-1620958

I'm trying to install the Video SoftPhone, latest build on a 6.1 system and I am getting an error message, which was found in an earlier closed thread. Does anyone have any help with this?

All installation steps have been followed. The Softphone seems to have a problem enabling accounts. A screenshot of the error message can be found in the above referenced thread.

???

Do you also use SIP trunks? You may need to ask the OP of that thread for a solution/answer on whether they escelated or not :)

No, we do not use SIP Trunks, we have a PRI.

I cannot see where I can contact the user of the previous thread, who had the same problem (Accounts Failed To Enable, etc.) and ask them if, or how, they resolved their issue.

Posting in this thread: thread940-1639229 will send him/her an email and they may respond :)

Say, amriddle01, I saw your post in the other thread, instead of answering you in the other thread, I wanted to keep this SoftPhone issue in this thread, so if we find a solution, this thread might help others out as well.

That being said, you indicated to add http:// in front of the IP address for the phone system, in the Softphone login screen.

Did that, I get the same error with or without adding http://

Not sure then, I personally have never seen this issue or needed to do the http:// thing, another poster on here recently said that fixed it for him so I just passed it on :)

I've had the same error when using softphone over a vpn connection and the vpn was using a virtual ip address, I fixed it by adding an IP Route for the virtual ip address into the IP Office.

Got the SoftPhone working!

The issue we had, on our internal network, and I am being general about this, we have a voice Vlan running the voice network over our data network. My engineer tells me, the SIP based Softphone is running on the data network, he had to point the data network accordingly within the IP Office Manager.
