Is there a trick to getting a softphone to login as an agent? It lets me login and light the aux button but auto-in is "greyed out" so I can't press it. My system parameters show RTU for "softphone agents" but it's not working. Is there some other RTU/feature or simple setting I'm missing? -CL

Never had that before but I know it works because I did the trick several times. What comes in mind is that there's something wrong with the button set.

Does the extension have a auto-in button or did you use a autodial with the feature access code. It should be the first.

Also check that there's nothing behind the auto-in or incase you have deluxe, put in the huntgroup number.

Also, do some tests on a real station which is programmed in the exact same way and see what it does.

I know I'm not very helpfull at this moment and I know you have a lot of experience yourself so, just check evething step by step and it will work out fine.

Cheers.

I used and auto-in button and not a FAC. It works fine on a DCP phone but the auto-in button is being greyed out on the softphone picture like big brother doesn't want me to press it. It looks like a RTU deal but I'm not aware of anything else I would need. It's R10G3R and R3.2 softphone. Maybe another R10 bug (since we've seen sooooooo many already!)? -CL

Looks like it. But it could also be the softphone. I heard that others had problems with that version as well.

I don't know how urgent this is but we're gonna test the new softphone somewhere next week. We're still using the old one.

Just let me know if it can wait. Otherwise I hope somebody else can help you with this.

Cheers

lopes1211, did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same problem running Avaya IP Softphone 5.0 SP2. If I duplicate the extension on a DCP port, the auto-in button works fine. It's greyed out in the softphone though. The agent can dial the FAC for auto-in, but they really would like the button.

Thanks

Anyone ever find anything out on this? I have the same problem with IP Softphone 5.1.5.5.

Yeah, you need IP agent. Ip softphone doesn't allow you to log in. It's a "feature".

You can get round this, if you add the softphone as a 6424d+ and use 1 key to show the feature "auto-in" and the next button down as an autodial with the feature access code. when an agent wants to go auto-in they press the autodial and the "auto-in" button will show the state.

one way of not having to buy IP agent
