Hello,

Hoping you can help as I'm out of ideas

I have two softconsoles (1.5), with two Plantronics CS60 - USB headsets

One of them provides the call alert in the headset, the other one doesn't. The users require a call alert as they are often away from the desk.

I have copied exactly the setup/settings from the working one to the non working one with no sucess within the softconsole application and the softconsole manager.

Made sure that the headsets themself's are identical with the setup.

The attendent setup within CM is identical.

On setup of the audio (identical), the tone is played for incoming alert and so I believe its not a hardware issue. Call alert tone is also played within the audio section of softconsole manager.

Checked that the PC that the softconsole sits on audio values are correct as per previous posts.

Am I missing something? Is there a hidden setting or function key that I've missed

Any ideas appreciated

Have you tried swapping the headsets to see if the tones moves also ?

I've had issues with CS60's that looked the same but weren't.
One had an EU24 connector and the other didn't....

regards,

Sekitori

Hi Sekitori,

I have moved the headsets around and they checked out ok.

The issue remains on the one Softconsole.

I'm going to load the Softconsole software on my laptop and connect it up out of hrs, just to see whether it is a software load issue or the PC.

Will post results

My experience is that the headset gets it call alert from the attached phone, as we have console software on a PC and a physical phone (4610/9620) for the operator to use for conversation.

There's a small pickup-coil to hook up between your headset and phone - it comes with the headset.
We sometimes have to use that.

Good luck with your problem....
