Softconsole Issue 1

Is anybody having this issues with Softconsole
Every so often for no reason it displays the following error, out of the blue

The device name is already being used as an alias by this application. Use a unique alias.

You can click OK and the error message disapears, it is not effecting operation in any way of the software.

I have recreated the reception account and still seems to think that some else is using the account when it is not

The IPO is a 412 and the PC is WIN2K Pro with 512MB and SP4, directly patched into the same switch as the IPO. I have tried 2 different PC's same error.

Is the message coming from Softconsole or Windows. Do they have old console, eblf, or Phone Manager Pro installed on same PC, or eblf anywhere else on the system?

I`ve had the same problem.
I had the old version installed ( eConsole & eBLF )
Those were not uninstalled correctly, the registry was not cleaned properly.
I suggest you uninstall softConsole, remove any registry entry named Lucent and Avaya, reboot the system and reinstall the softConsole.
Also check if the soundcard is working, if not remove in the queue settings all paths to any .wav file.

Are they running Phone manager at the same time this is a no no.

This fault was found to be related to having the
Play Media File path installed, once this line was removed the application did not show this error. This will be resolved in the next build of softconsole.

Also Softconsole also seems to have a Memory leak which is causing the application to crash once a day. This also is going to be resolved in the next version.
