SoftConsole Error

Trying to install SoftConsole for a customer. IP Office is 8.0.43. PC is Windows 7. I have tried installing User 4.2.61 and 4.2.53 and in either case when attempting to launch SoftConsole after the install and reboot I get an error -

'The program can't start because vcl190.bpl is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.'

I have tried reinstalling several times using the Compatibility Troubleshooter and without.

Any ideas.

Did you start the installer with "Run as Administrator"?
Uninstall SoftConsole, delete everything in %user%\appdata\local\temp and in %system%\temp
Reboot the PC and install SoftConsole (sc.exe) and use "Run as Administrator", even if you have full admnin rights.

I tried, but since was an end user pc, when I tried the pc prompted me for an administrator login that I didn't have. I can try to get that from the corporate contact.

Softconsole is a finicky girl and wants to be installed and run as administrator (much like VmPro) without that it will not work well 99% of the time.
I have had an IT guy tell me months ago that he cannot provide local admin rights to the softconsole user and they are still not using softconsole to this day I also refuse to troubleshoot it when they call in for a ticket.

Thanks Westi!! I've done sporadic SoftConsole installs over the years with mixed results. Some were really easy and some were major struggles, but this is the first time I've run into this issue before.

I will talk with their corp. contact on Monday and go from there.
