Need some help - Running IPO 8.1(73) - I'm trying to find Softphone on support.avaya.com and so many options come up. Not sure which ones are for IP office or for Aura.... I'm reading about some posts that it exists on the admin CD - After downloading Administration 8.1.x from the site - I don't see softphone. Can someone tell me:

Which is the best program to use, and where to get it from exactly.

Flare? Video Softphone?

My goal is to most closely resemble any Avaya deskphone.

Thanks.

For just a standard softphone user I would not think you would want to add the Flare Experience. The softphone you need to download is located within the ADMIN file you can download at

Once you have that file on your PC go into the ZIP folder and you should see softphone

IP Office Softphone Software
The IP Office Softphone installation software is part of the IP Office Administrator Applications suite. On the IP
Office Applications DVD, the IP Office Softphone software is located in the AdminCD/Softphone folder.

Fantastic - thank you very much.

What does the flare experience add? Anything worth while?
