You'll need to leave CM and access the shell. Try "go shell" from within CM to see if your login has the correct profile to access shell. If not, you should be able to SSH to the hosname of your primary server and login with your credentials. If you cannot, contact Avaya or your business partner to determine how you can gain access.
Once you have access to the shell, you should be able to use "almenable -s" to enable SNMP alarming. Refer to this link for shell command reference:
I've never actually done it myself. I was just recently beginning to look into doing it here on the system I support. Our INADS alarms currently dial out via modem to an alarm receiver at our BP's NOC. When things are going smoothly with their systems, we get an email alert indicating they have a ticket for us. But it doesn't always go so smoothly. So I want our internal SNMP monitoring to help keep an eye on things. I just haven't had time to make this happen yet.
