Can someone tell me if it is possible to setup SNMP traps on an G650 \ S8500 system?

Thanks.

It is possible. You need to have a proxy agent either provided by avaya or a third party agent. That proxy agent will interpret the information sent by the avay and convert them to SNMP and forward to your SNMP reciever.

The Avaya Proxy Agent used to be packaged with Avaya Integrated Management but I believe the new technology doesn't require it.

I use a software called Alarmtraq.

We use Alarmtraq also. It seems to be the best product for SNMP traps from Avaya systems.

can alarmtraq also send major alarms through sms messages?
