Hi everyone!

I have IPO SmallOffice on site, running version 3(59)
I have 3 BRI lines, and sometimes phone calls that are in progress just brake down without reason. So I've started CastleRock SNMPc
And the only alarms that I get are these below
Can someone translate me what they means

(this appears first)
Minor 10/10/2005 15:42:40 IP_Office ipoGenEntityFailureEvent
[1] ipoGTEventSeverity.0 (Integer): major
[2] ipoGTEventDateTime.0 (Octet String): 07 d5 0a 0a 0f 2c 34 00
[3] ipoGTEventEntity.0 (Gauge32): 7
[4] snmpTrapEnterprise.0 (Object ID): ipoGenTraps

(and after around 19sec this one)
Minor 10/10/2005 15:43:00 IP_Office ipoGenEntityOperationalEvent
[1] ipoGTEventSeverity.0 (Integer): major
[2] ipoGTEventDateTime.0 (Octet String): 07 d5 0a 0a 0f 2d 0c 00
[3] ipoGTEventEntity.0 (Gauge32): 7
[4] snmpTrapEnterprise.0 (Object ID): ipoGenTraps

I particularly do not understand the row [3]

Thanks in advanced

Using SNMP for error tracing is a bit too difficult.
You better use the SysMonitor tool wich comes with the Administration CD.
Select all of ISDN and monitor the "CAUSE" messages.

On a normal call-clear it should be the value 16, if the dialled number is engaged then the value is 17.
Most common faultcode i have seen is CAUSE 38 wich means there is a framing error between the IP Office and the ISDN network.

The CAUSE codes can be found on the internet as ETSI Cause codes.

Hope you will find your problem now..

On that subject, recent Technical Tip 93 list the cause codes and includes a whole load of new ones specific to the IP Office itself that have been added in the 3.0 maintenance release (look at cause code 117 onwards).

Please note that the above Disconnect codes are produced as part of the traces output when the Monitor/Call/Extension Send option is enabled. These traces commence with “CMExtnTx:”

As an example :-

10185mS CMExtnTx: v=100, p1=1

CMReleaseComp

Line: type=DigitalExtn 3 Call: lid=0 id=-1 in=0

UUI type=Local [....] [0x03 0x00 0x00 0x00 ]

Cause=16, Normal call clearing

Timed: 12/07/05 11:00

The Disconnect codes marked with a “*” have been added in release 3.0.1 and those with a “+” were added in 3.0.40.

Note that the Disconnect codes marked with a “*” or a “+” are not available in 2.1 or 3.0DT releases.

By the way, all codes below 103 are the actual ETSI codes, all above 102 are Avaya specific.
Nevertheless you'vo got a star
