Can't get SNMP Traps working or sending to port 162 from Avaya CS1000 PABX. The SNMP Trap Watcher has error on port 162.

After you define the SNMP settings, you must backup the database for the changes to be put into production. (LD 43 --> EDD).

Thank you, but I have done that part on the PABX. I have configured two different IP adresses as the destination or listener, but do I prove CS is sending. I am using SNMP Trap Watcher (see below)to test on both the servers and I get the message "error binding to Trap Port (162), it may already be in use". How can I test this, have already restarted those servers to get make sure nothing is using that port.

This sounds like a problem with the receiver, not the PBX.

You can send test alarms from LD 117 as follows:

LD 117
=> test alarm INI 001

This will send an INI001 Alarm with the text 'This is a test'.

You will need to determine if there is already a SNMP service running on the server that is already bound to port 162 - most likely one of the default Microsoft SNMP services.
