I have a few customers that have upgraded to Avaya Aura 6, they used to be 5.2.1 and went over to system platform 6.1. I had SNMP working on the 5.2.1 system before upgraded to SP 6.1 - SNMP is working on that system without fail (sending SNMP alarms to AlarmTraq)
My problem is on the new install of Avaya Aura 6.1 that was not at 5.2.1 - On 5.2.1 I used the Web interface and selected security, then firewall advanced - where i would open ports snmp 161/tcp / snmp 162/tcp then snmptrap 1, and SNMP would send alarms to my AlarmTraq server without fail, this was also setup with SAL - and both are working.
Now on Avaya Aura 6 the security advance tab is no longer on the Web interface, it was moved to the command line, I was able to find and use almsnmpconf -d (IP address of AlarmTraq) -c public
-b y -e y -add was the command. On the SNMP Access i have the IP of AlarmTraq, server 1 and server 2 IP address in the Following IP Addresses, for SNMP Version 1 = public, SNMP Version 2c = trap, SNMP Version 3 = under User (read-write) enabled, user name trap. These were / are the setting in the system that is now Avaya Aura R 6 - and that site works, I have two other sites that do not send the SNMP alarms. any suggestions?
