Sniffer Basic 4.5 on WindowsXP

I am about to load XP on my laptop but can't find if Basic 4.5 is supported. Anyone know?

Sniffer Basic 4.5 will work on Xp. although it is not officially supoorted

Yes, it will run, but be aware of strange problems concerning drivers. Had something there with a PRo on XP (Also not supported), that was in loopback mode and still i saw traffic in my dash. Even showing errors, which should not be possible without certified NIC and drivers (i was running an on board card on a compaq notebook)

I don't know about Sniffer Portable 4.5 but 4.7 runs fine on Windows XP.

I found that Sniffer counts error frames, despite it shouldn't, when a personal firewall is running on the same machine.

Also I found that some XP PCs fail even to install 4.7 but some run fine.
