Hi there,

I wonder if anyone has any ideas.

We've got a Windows2000/Novell mixed environment, and have been using Zen 3.2 snapshot on a Novell 4.83 client on a Citrix Server for snAPPshotting of applications.

Since changing the Novell client to 4.90, the snapshot process launch ok but when it comes to scanning the machine, it gets to the registry and then simply keeps counting and counting, far beyond what could be a reasonable number of registry keys (registry is less than 20MB and the count has reached over 40 million)

Some MS patches have been applied to the server, and I'm really trying to find out if anyone has a)seen this problem before and b)knows whether its likely to be a Novell client issue, a MS patch issue, or both.

We are currently rolling back to previous server images to see if we can get to a stage where this does work again, but if anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I'd be very grateful to hear from you!!

Will post up if/when we find a solution.

Many thanks

Looks like after installing the 4.9 Client & MS Patches, your registry has grown a bit too big for snAppShot. See if snAppShot works on a bare minimum machine (i.e base OS & Novell Client only).

"snAppShot won't capture changes to very large registry files (HKCU and HKLM). Make sure the snAppShot is taken on a clean machine with minimal size of registry files."

Cheers,
Andre
