Hi folks,

this weekend we had to shutdown all our system and also cut power to everything.

After reboot we get the following message, when trying to start sna services:

exec(): 0509-036 Cannot Load program snadaemon because of the following errors:
0509-023 Symbol vns_is_dunlap in /usr/lib/sna/libpe.o is not defined.
0509-022 Cannot load library /usr/lib/sna/libpe.o.
0509-026 System error: Cannot run a file that does not have a valid format.

What could have caused this ? A simple system shutdown with plugging the power cord ?

Any Ideas ?

Thanks in advance !

Regards
Thomas

Are you sure you haven't made an update before the reboot ????

Hi, a very similar error is produced when the /etc/rc.sna script is not loaded in the inittab process.
/etc/rc.sna loads the sna drivers.

Try to execute it as follows:

# /etc/rc.sna
start CS/AIX
Device driver /usr/lib/sna/drivers/sna_trace loaded OK, mounted at /dev/sna_trace.
Device driver /usr/lib/sna/drivers/sna_mux loaded OK, mounted at /dev/sna.
Device driver /usr/lib/sna/drivers/gsna loaded OK, mounted at /dev/gsna.

SNA software is initializing...

SNA software has been initialized.
