We are planning on upgrading SNA 4.0 Server to Host Integration Server 2000. SNA 4.0 is already running on Windows 2000 Server and I want to upgrade to HIS inplace. My concerns are workstation connectivity. Does anybody have any experience with MS3270 Applet on NT 4.0 and will it connect to the main frame through HIS 2000? What about Attachmate's Extra running on NT?

I have about 150 clients running Extra and another 80 or so running MS3270 Applet. Will I have to upgrade them to HIS End-User client?

Thanks for your help. I can't find this info anywhere in the documentation.

Yes, you can upgrade to HIS 2000 from SNA 4.0. You should not have to upgrade to the HIS 2000 Client. I did not upgrade our clients yet and upgraded our SNA 4.0 servers to HIS over 4 months ago. Eventually you will want to upgrade the clients just because Microsoft no longer supports the SNA 4.0 clients.
