smtpsvc Error - Event ID 2013

Hi

Currently having problems with email on SBS 2003 and are receving this error in the Server Monitoring Report:

smtpsvc

Event ID 2013

SMTP could not connect to any DNS server. Either none are configured, or all are down.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

No they appear to be stuck in the MS Exchange queue.

Ok so lets start with the basics.

I assume you are routing your mail using DNS rather than a Smart Host? Are the DNS servers you have specified as Forwarders on the Server valid and from your ISP?

Yes using DNS.

DNS on server is setup so that it redirects to modem (192.168.111.1) and the forwarder is set to the same.

Thats seems a little strange.

Have you tried putting in your ISP's DNS servers as your forwarders and setting the servers LAN DNS to itself?

Thanks has fixed the problem.

Simply changed DNS on server to itself and then the forwarders to the DNS of my ISP.
